Why did you pick an English name?
We opted to call ourselves Westfield Mall of the Netherlands because this name reflects our ambitions and the unique, international character of the largest, most service-oriented and most innovative shopping centre in the Netherlands. The current name, Leidsenhage, is very well known regionally, but an update of this scale requires a new name with nationwide and even international appeal. After all, remarkable shops and international retail chains are drawn to our new centre. Moreover, this name meshes well with several of our other large-scale, remarkable projects, such as our highly successful Mall of Scandinavia in Stockholm and the Mall of Europe we are currently building in Brussels.
