Port des Lumières

Port des Lumières is the first permanent immersive art experience in Hamburg and the largest of its kind in northern Germany. As part of an international network of digital art centers of the French pioneer Culturespaces, it opens the doors to a new world in which art is not only seen, but experienced with all the senses.

Located in the heart of Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, Port des Lumières enchants with its impressive architecture and unique maritime design elements. On an area of 1,700 square meters, state-of-the-art technology transforms the rooms into vivid visual worlds that invite you to marvel, discover and immerse yourself.

The changing shows allow you to immerse yourself in the fascinating works of great artists - from Gustav Klimt's golden colors to the vivid imagination of Friedensreich Hundertwasser and “Kosmos”, an impressive journey through the universe. The creative Studio Nohlab also inspires with the contemporary work “Journey”. You don't just feel the art, you are right in the middle of it.

There are also playful highlights for all generations: The “Kids Interactive Studio” turns art into an adventure for children, the mirrored “Infinity Room” lets you immerse yourself seemingly endlessly in the worlds of images, and you can capture your favorite moments in the “Selfie Room”. On the second level, the bow of the ship, there is exciting background information about the current exhibition to enhance the experience.
